Heart (Cardiovascular) Clinics

Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of mortality in the UK; one tenth of the population has already been diagnosed with heart disease, or is said to be at risk of developing heart disease over the next ten years.

Cardiovascular disease covers angina, heart attacks, and strokes. Our dedicated Heart Clinic is run by Nurse Glynis Batchen who is qualified in Cardiovascular Disease Management. The clinic is run under the guidance of Dr David Salkin, a GP who is also a Hospital Practitioner in Cardiology at the Glenfield General Hospital and a former lead in Heart Failure for Leicester City PCT.
