Family Planning
A wide variety of contraception advice and services are available at the Humberstone Medical Centre. Please make an appointment, asking to see one of our specifically trained Family Planning practice nurses.
Our Family Planning service includes:
• Advice and prescription of the hormonal contraception pill (‘The Pill’), both combined and single dose
• Depo injections
• IUD and IUS
• Barrier methods advice
• Emergency contraception (up to 72 hours following unprotected intercourse)
• Contraception after the birth of your baby
For more complex Family Planning issues than those listed above, please make an appointment with your GP.
