ECG (Heart Testing)
Your GP may suggest that you have a heart tracing known as an ECG (electrocardiograph).
An ECG can reveal information about the condition of your heart, ranging from coronary artery disease to heart rhythm disorders.
The Humberstone Medical Centre currently uses a Nihon Kohden ECG machine, a well-known high performance machine that records the electrical activity of your heart. Should your GP feel an ECG is necessary they will fully explain to you what is involved in advance of your appointment.
