Our telephones become very busy, and so it may be helpful to consider the following:
- Appointments can be booked online
- Prescriptions cannot be ordered by phone but can be ordered by post, requested in writing at the surgery reception, or online
- Registrations can be booked online, and our location is easy to find
- Many conditions can be managed with free pharmacy advice and free medicines with
Pharmacy First - If you find out that you are pregnant and wish to book into our antenatal service, please make a first antenatal booking with the midwife
- If you would like a blood test result, please phone after 2pm when the lines are quieter
- If you cannot make an appointment, please let us know
How our appointment system works:
In accordance with government guidelines we aim to enable patients to be seen by a GP within 48 hours and a practice nurse within 24 hours.
Appointments can be made with the GP up to a week in advance by booking a pre-bookable appointment. These appointments are usually early morning or afternoon/evening and ARE LIMITED. This enables patients to have an appointment with the GP of their choice.
In addition, patients can ring at 8.00am Monday to Friday to get an appointment on that day, but not necessarily with a doctor of their choice. At this time the telephone lines are very busy and the receptionists would appreciate your patience and will deal with you as soon as possible. You may of course wish to book online to save yourself time.
